Asking Alexandria released their 6th studio album “Where Do We Go From Here?” last August 2023. Since the release of the album, they have been on tour overseas. They finally made their way back to the Boise area with The All My Friends Tour on May 11th, 2024, at The Revolution Concert House. It was the first warm weekend here in the Valley but fans both old and new alike despite the heat showed up for this killer show.
If you have ever seen Asking Alexandria before you already know that you're in for an amazing set list. Containing songs from nearly all their albums. They opened the show with “Closure” the third song from their second album “Reckless & Relentless” which celebrated its 13th birthday this year. Opening with a song that is a little more geared toward older fans is definitely a treat. It sets the stage for the rest of the show with that classic Metal Core feel and nostalgia with the use of electronic elements to get the crowd hyped up. They also know how to slow it down for a song or two. “Someone, Somewhere” is performed on the acoustic guitar. A song about never truly being alone in the world. A powerful meaning well captured in this acoustic setting.
Danny Worsnop does a great job interacting with the crowd and keeping everyone engaged with not only his vocals but a few jokes in between songs. Both Cameron on guitar and Sam on bass love to see the crowd having fun by throwing picks and pointing at fans who capture their attention.
They start to wrap up the night with a few songs from their debut album Stand up and Scream. Performing “A Prophecy” and “The Final Episode (Let’s Change The Channel)” Both songs equally important to their musical career. As the crowd begs for an encore they perform, “Alone In A Room” from their self-titled album.
In conclusion, if you have not seen Asking Alexandria before, I hope I have convinced you to see them when you get a chance. You will surely not be disappointed. Let’s hope we don't have to wait too long before they make their way back to the Boise area.
